Since December 2007 every home put on the market has had to have a HIP. As well as paying for residential conveyancing to be undertaken, sellers must now also pay for HIPs to be compiled, which can cost hundreds of pounds, on top of having to pay for searches and energy performance assessments.
But there is some good news - if you use Whitehead Monckton to do your residential conveyancing, we will put together your HIP for free! Searches and assessments will still need to be performed, which are conducted by third parties, but because we use preferred suppliers you'll save money all-round by using us.
